Rhonda L. Newton – Brainerd Dispatch

Rhonda L. Newton, 51, of Brainerd, died Thursday, April 7, 2022 in Pillager.

Rhonda was born September 30, 1970 in Brainerd, daughter of Donald and Bertha (Hines) Anderson. She graduated from Brainerd High School where she was elected Prom Queen. After high school, Rhonda held various positions within the hospitality industry. She loved being around people and these jobs matched her personality perfectly: she was outgoing and always up for a conversation with a stranger.

Rhonda had a talent for singing; a talent she inherited from her father and passed on to her boys. She loved to sing country, especially “Coal Miner’s Daughter” by Loretta Lynn. She also loved gardening. Rhonda had a strong faith and her relationship with God was an integral part of who she was. Above all, she loved her children and her grandson. Her love for them was unconditional.

She will be missed by her sons, Ryan (Brandi) Larson, Robert (Betzabe) Newton, Michael (Chloe) Newton and Christopher (Brianna) Newton; grandson, Eli Larson; siblings, Kathy Sibbert, Jim Anderson, Julie Smith and Janelle Gassert; and many extended family members and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents and her sister, Tammy Dallmann.
